What is Rejuran?

Rejuran, developed in South Korea, is a type of skin booster that rejuvenates the skin using purified polynucleotides—essentially components of our DNA. These polynucleotides are derived from wild salmon, making them biocompatible with us, thus reducing the likelihood of side effects. 

Rejuran operates from within by initiating a series of biological processes that rejuvenate the skin. Often referred to as a "baby skin" treatment, it enhances the skin's natural regenerative capabilities, leading to improved skin health, increased radiance, and a more youthful appearance.

There are four types of Rejuran: Rejuran Healer, Rejuran S (scar), Rejuran I (Eye), and Rejuran HB Plus, each with different functions.

How does Rejuran work?

The skin's structural integrity, elasticity, hydration, and overall resilience largely depend on the production of collagen, elastin, glycosaminoglycans, and glycoproteins by specialised cells known as fibroblasts. When Rejuran is injected, the polynucleotides connect with the microvascular system in cells, activating the production of fibroblasts, which, in turn, facilitate the healing and repair of damaged or compromised tissue. 

Furthermore, the skin's natural regenerative abilities are supported by the body's wound-healing mechanisms, which involve the release of growth factors, enhanced blood flow, and reduced inflammation. This process fortifies the skin, enhancing hydration and natural luminosity.

What can I expect during Rejuran treatment?

Before your treatment begins, Dr Hoe Ying Min will carefully examine and analyse your skin. A bespoke treatment plan will be created to meet your skin condition and aesthetic goals. Next, your skin is cleansed and prepped with numbing cream to ensure a comfortable experience. Rejuran is injected through micro-injections into the dermal layers of your skin. 

What results can I expect after Rejuran?

Following the procedure, you can anticipate the following outcomes:

• One week after the initial treatment: you may notice that your skin feels smoother, with a reduction in oil production as hydration levels rise.
• One month after the second treatment: improvements in skin elasticity will become evident, along with a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and pore size due to enhanced collagen synthesis.
• 4-6 weeks following the third treatment: your skin will exhibit a natural lifting effect, becoming more elastic and showing increased thickness from within.
• 6-8 weeks after the fourth treatment: your skin will look revitalised and more youthful.

• Rejuran first-time treatment: $388 nett
• Rejuran package of 3 syringes: $500 + GST per syringe
• Rejuran package of 6 syringes: $450 + GST per syringe

How many Rejuran sessions are required?

To achieve the best results, it is generally advised to undergo a series of 3 to 4 Rejuran treatments, scheduled about a month apart. After completing this initial series, annual maintenance sessions are recommended. However, the exact number of treatments may vary based on your skin concerns and desired outcomes.
